Seasons
by Verna Mull

When I take my walk each morning,
Many new sounds reach my ear!
In the Spring, the sounds of a flocks of geese,
And beautiful songbirds I can hear.

In summer, the sounds of the corn leaf,
Popping away from the mother stalk!
The sound of the raccoon calls,
And the graceful flying of the hawk!

In the fall, the sounds have changed,
As farmers gather crops from the field;
The roaring of the many combines,
And farmers talking about the yield!

Then, winter seems to greet us,
With a stormy, snowy blast!
Even though there's a special beauty,
I'm glad when this season is past!

Our lives are like the seasons-
Our ages, as spring, summer, and fall.
Then, the winter of our lives,
When we will hear our Savior call!

If we walk with Him through the seasons,
And accept His Son, as He has planned;
We'll pass from this world of seasons-
Into a perfect, majestic Land!

An elderly Christian who has learned to depend upon the Lord. He is sufficient to meet our needs in any circumstance of life. I only want to honor Him
