I LOST A FRIEND poem
by Richard L. Provencher

I Lost a Friend

When told
tiny lips quiver
only six
and a heartbeat quickens

little man of substance
sad but grandpa
has passed
away.

Can't be
he can't be gone,
I still have things to tell him.
