Lost by the wayside
by Janice S Ramkissoon

As Christians, going it alone can be the biggest contributor to our downfall.

Tradition has something to do with this [lessons we were taught, such as:

Learn to stand on your own two feet
Dont show your weaknesses
The world dont need to know your business

Pride also is a factor (endorsing the above)

Being too independent (so much that even when our strength is failing we refuse to ask for help)]

These scenarios may be good practices in many areas of our lives but they can also work against us. Members of the church should take care of each other in accordance to Acts 2:44. But how can we be cared for if the other members dont know of our need? The church is a family of Christians (one body). If a member is unwell the body cannot function well, so dont allow selfish pride to hinder the growth of the church. Begin to share.

If you are not at that level of growth in your faith and dont feel ready or capable to share no problem! You dont even have to tell a friend or a neighbour just tell it to Jesus. He is your friend whos closer than a brother. He is the father who has all the answers. He is waiting to take your burdens and embrace you. He promises a life of abundance and His Word is true, so take it to Him and He will do the rest.

Hell send someone your way to provide that required need;

Or

Hell provide it by some other means.

Failure to allow God to be the Master of your life, could easily find you as another one lost by the wayside.

You are a child of the King. So, start to walk in authority; enjoying the benefits of being the daughter or son of the King. Its time to let go [of your fears, pride and any other obstacle thats holding you back; hindering you from prospering and having a personal relationship with your King] and let God.

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us (2nd Corinthians 1:4).
