THE BIBLE-OUR ROAD MAP
by Verna Mull Never start out on a long journey Without a map, or a G.P.S. When you come to a fork in the road, You would never be happy to guess! After driving so many long miles; You may arrive at the end of day, Where there isn't even any gas, There's not even a good place to stay! Now, who would be so very foolish, To drive many miles without a plan? Yet, this seems to be a malady That has overcome many a man. God has given mankind a roadmap That avoids many bumps in the road; Yet, man seems to keep on traveling, Scarred, bruised,and broken under life's load. Never opening Words of triumph, Lying in dust upon some old shelf. The staff of life for his dear Grandpa, Not accepting it for his own self! There is a destiny for each man Who travels this world just one time. If he accepts the path of promise, He'll never regret that choice, sublime! Those following the flow of traffic, Will end on the road of sad despair. They'll come to the point of no return; And wonder how they ended up there!
