A New Year, a New You?
by Fenny West A New Year a new resolution, Or is it rather a revolution? But what will reformation do When I need transformation? I pray Lord, for regeneration Come from a New Creation. Where the old goes from death And the new comes from your strength- Resurrection from dead works That will never ever work. I make the promises year in year out But when its time to do, I bow out. I start and soon I lack the will and quit. Give me the strength this time to do it. Weaken my weaknesses in Your view and strengthen my strength in you. I rest in you to wrest me From the beast in me That wants me to wallow In the mire that cast a shadow To your glory and your praise To you my hands I raise. May this be a New Year and a New me in Your care. Walking in your light In the day and at night.
