ALBERTA poem
by Richard L. Provencher Alberta The cows are calling their magnificent bellowing reach across the slough across pastures and through the trees carried by the wind reaching my ears and teasing my senses their simple life mating and chewing sleeping then anxious for sun's warmth upon their hides not realizing that one day oh yes one day weight gained from their good life will cost them since beef cattle have endings to this gracious living. Richard L. Provencher 2008 Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
