Recently my husband shared a story from his childhood, being paid for shooting mice. Our friend thought he said "shooting dice;" and we all had a good laugh! I don't think his parents would pay him for that!
It is foolish to gamble with our hard earned money; but we should be willing to take a certain amount of risks in our lives. That is a natural part of our routine; each time we turn the key in the ignition and enter the highway, we are taking a chance! If we make any major credit purchase, we are risking future funds. A marriage proposal acceptance comes with no written guarantee; yet in love and commitment we take that leap of faith.
Are you willing to take risks for God's kingdom? Across our world today some risk their reputations, their safety, and even their lives. They follow in the steps of the faithful. "men who risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 15:26 NAS)." Join the group today; God's gamblers never lose!
