Days have passed,
no temperature change
within the walls of these rooms.
The sun releases warming rays,
unable to seep through the pain
of hearts held hostage
by their own strings.
Love once shared,
now a scoreboard.
Desire to do for the other,
replaced only by demands.
There can be no victor
in this loveless game;
without nourishment,
death will soon follow.
I am a 66-year young Christian writer whose desire is to make a positive difference in people's lives through my writing. My purpose is to show people the love of Jesus Christ. I have four wonderful children (two natural/two step) and seven beautiful grandchildren.
