1). The reason the KJV is different from the other three translations is because the words "the brother of" are not in the Hebrew text. The King James translators inserted the words "the brother of" in italics. They did so because the context required it, which is easy to see by comparing the parallel passage in 1 Chronicles 20:5.
2). 1 Chronicles 20:5 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam.
