The first day of forever
is what I have today
so the first thing in the morning
I must kneel down and pray

The first day of forever
I open up Gods word
and let Him speak His wisdom
to give me strength and courage

The first day of forever
the chance to do what's right
so I go out in the world to share
that Jesus is the light

The first day of forever
and I can choose my path
to follow His are blessings
the other leads to wrath

The first day of forever
means eternal life for me
For Jesus came to save my soul
And by His grace I'm free
