Are you easily swayed; or does it take a lot of arm twisting to convince you? Some people are very gullible and swallow anything while others are skeptical. It is wise to do our research and learn all the facts before making snap judgments. It is also true that some very important decisions are based on simple faith and trust.
The Apostle Paul used every circumstance as an opportunity to share the gospel message and his personal salvation story. In his appeals for Roman justice he came before government officials and leaders. The Roman world became his stage; and Paul turned the spot light on Jesus. On one occasion he found himself in the company of King Agrippa, Bernice and Festus. He began to share his defense and personal testimony. (Acts 25:13-23) The response could not be considered a great success. "Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad (Acts 26:24 NKJ)!"
The hackling did not deter Paul. He just picked up where he left off. He turned his attention directly to King Agrippa. "King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe (Acts 26: 27 NKJ)." He extended an invitation and Agrippa responded. "Then Agrippa said to Paul, You almost persuade me to become a Christian (Acts 26:28 NKJ)." There is no sadder phrase or life condition. Almost offers no entrance into God's kingdom. The decision must be firm. A lost world needs to become Christians.
