Falling In Love With Jesus

I lived a lonely life full of misery
Always feeling no one cared for me
I carried along with me this dark cloud
Had this lonely feeling even when in a crowd

I thought falling in love might be good for me
I thought falling in love might set me free
Falling in love with someone else
All I need is to fall in love

Then I met this young woman
We seemed to have nothing in common
She seemed so happy, while I so very sad
Had so much joy never dwelling on anything bad

I asked her to bare her heart to me
Told her 'please tell me how to stop this misery
She said friend how can I put it to you
I have noticed how you are always feeling blue

Tis Jesus who set me free
Gave His life for me when He died on the tree
Gave me salvation so full and free
I fell in love with Jesus who died on the cross for me

I found that falling in love was good for me
I found that falling in love had set me free
Falling in love with Jesus
I found that He is the one who frees us
