Are you being held by fear's grip or securely resting in faith? If a cruel master holds us with chains of intimidation, we seek deliverance and refuge. We find release the moment their hold is broken. Faith breaks our chains and unlocks the door to freedom from fear.


A loving parent holds their child with determination to protect from danger. They forbid the young to cross a busy intersection alone. Parents or guardians take hold of their hand or carry them across to safety.


The Psalmist David gave thanks for God's firm hold upon his life. "If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast (Psalm 139:9-10 NIV)." Relax; God never loses His grip.
