Will you love a person until they learn to love themselves?
by boatrocker Gilmore
6/25/2010 / Poetry
While we were still enemies of God, he sent his son to die for us on the cross.
God loved us before we learned to love ourselves-our souls were lost.
Children of God are compassionate, merciful and kind.
Justification for not loving others, true Believers could never find.
For when we didn't have the capacity to love; God loved us and made a way to forgive.
He continues to love us while we learn how to love him..he patiently gives.
Who are we to say that someone doesn't deserve God's gift from above?
Why do we treat others by how they treat us and not by how God extends his love?
If we are filled with love, it came from Godlet us share.
To be unmerciful and withhold this great gift, tell your soul to beware.
