Today's wind is soothing
amid stream's cascading surge
hiding ducks in clouds
of evening shade, silhouettes
in movement.
Rain continues a pouncing
warmth, with sprinkling
and loons call in eerie voices.
Dusk begins its weave
within the forest, sunbeams fanning
ripples, the lake
a respite for canoes
eager, searching.
Nature, a clash of memory.
