WHAT SHALL WE DO, OUR LITTLE SISTER HAS NO BREASTS?

by Walter Tsuro
12/17/2010 / Relationships

Some blame others, many blame God and the majority will blame the devil when results are required of us yet we are found wanting. What if we were to truly examine ourselves maybe we have no breasts at the time we are supposed to get married?

To mature, we should stop finger-pointing and start introspection. For one reason or another, we would have failed to adequately prepare ourselves for the test or challenge before us.

Songs 8.8 We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
9. If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

This new year coming, let us prepare or work as unto the Lord otherwise we will be found desperate for solutions. Some of us ought to cry out to God and to long to walk in the full fruit of the Spirit. Never reserve an allowance to be carnal claiming that we are humans. He that walks in the flesh can never please God.

Romans 8.7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Only those that walk in the Spirit ever produce the wonderful fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the spirit is composed of the following
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Longsuffering [patience]
5. Gentleness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Meekness [humility] and
9. Temperance [self-control]

What is your New Year's resolution? I am not talking about getting a new a job or getting promoted or getting married no! Which aspect of your life do you see needing some major adjustments and overhauling? What faults do you have that need some fixing?
James 5.16 teaches that if we confess our faults [weaknesses] to one another we will be healed [set free from them].

Go ahead and tell your elder or your trustworthy friend you have a problem of masturbation; pornography; being touched about and slept about before marriage. Maybe it's lying or homo-sexualism speak it out and it will lose its grip over you. When you sincerely desire to be set free and ask genuine people to pray with you, you will be freed. The things that you couldn't stop doing yet wanted to stop will melt away easily like wax before fire.

We have many weaknesses. Maybe you tend to make the wrong decisions? Would going to school to do some management course help? Who are your friends? What value do they add to you? Some are just time-wasters. They may not be evil yet they never push you to achieve your best. They are just content with life. All they ever do in life is to wake up; eat; go to work; eat; come back home; watch TV; eat and sleep and wake up and repeat this routine everyday of their lives!

What new thing do you intent to do this year? That is why it is called a New Year. New Year new thinking and new strategies. Here is a noble thing you can do - visit the fatherless and widows in their afflictions and keep yourself unspotted from the world.

James 1.27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

How do we keep ourselves with no spots from the world? By taking heed to the Word of God (Psalms 119.9). When we obey to read the word of God and doing it without reservations then will we have no similarity with the world. We are the light of the world and our behaviour ought to show that. You can not go about breaking the fruit of the spirit and expect to get good results.

If we all delighted to do the fruit of the spirit there would be peace in this world. We will be accommodative to the errors and weaknesses of others; we will love our spouses even though they may be behaving like kindergarten kids. With gentleness will we answer and deal with others. Before we make any promises, we will check if we will be able to faithfully keep such promises. We will in humility associate with the lowly. We will delight in making others joyful and not to see them sad.

Be obsessed with the question what I can do to make those around me to have a joyful day? A simple hi on Facebook or any other social network can go a long way to making the receiver feel from being bad to being expectant and hopeful. What are you doing for others? Cease being me, me, me. Me myself and I does not work. At the end it'll stress you. "I want my egg exactly half done; my tea at 46 degrees; my shirts ironed with steam iron not a dry one" etc. STOP being absurd!

Do not be like the Pharisees that got so obsessed with keeping the Sabbath that they lost the meaning of life. Yes, serving God is good but serving others is even more important. The Lord Jesus rebuked those that do not give things to their parents etc. giving the excuse that whatever they have they give it to God. Well, know that God doesn't accept such offerings yes, even if it's R2million. God would rather have you help a person than for you to come with a huge offering to the church.

Let us get our priorities correct and our houses in order lest we be found having no breasts at the time when we are supposed to get happiness. Yes, we will miss opportunities despite our praying very hard and fasting quite often because of lack of the fruit of the spirit.

Breasts are meant to nourish others not yourself. Let us remove selfishness in our lives. For all that is in selfishness is lust of the eyes; lust of the flesh and pride of life (1John 2.16). If you cannot even associate with the poor or lowly or crippled be warned. If you are not careful tomorrow it will be you and no-one will have compassion on you. Silver and gold will not help you even as the brothers of the breastless little sister discovered. Riches, beauty, charm etc. can never compensate for lack of breasts. Desire to have a character that people can emulate.
