observes from a country porch
tired from journey's jaunt
through a morning
of mist past sleeping sheep
above a few mules
driving against the wind
exhausted wings drew her to
the sound of early chirps
from Red Polls Sparrows Finches
even tattoos from a
Hairy Woodpecker caught
her attention
a snack of chance presenting
itself then she decided no
and without fanfare nor
nasty intentions flew off to
other spaces.
