Like a flashlight, the
moonbeam shines.
It covers a little boy. And
Sandy, his dog.
They sit on papa's dory.
One day they will
fish for cod.
Sky turns dark, like
a black blanket. Coyotes
call. An owl hoots.
"Supper!" mama calls.
Feet hammer like thunder
on the dock.
"Coming!"
