Attitude

by
4/08/2011 / Poetry

Attitude is just as important as facts,
It is the guideline for hope, or channel to ignorance.
The mindset dictates the choices we make,
It governs our will and directs our intake.

Upscale attitude results in an above average life,
It gives us motivation to face life's challenges and all its strife.
Downscale attitude keeps us in a dark and dismal dungeon,
Where we await the promises of light and its deep penetration.

Our attitude determines our altitude,
While it reveals the thought life and pinpoints a fool.
Our success is always an attitude away,
So making waves should never be the way.

Bad attitude hurts morale,
It disturbs peace of mind and sends bad signal.
Our attitude could be our best friend or worst enemy.
Choosing it wisely, will avoid a life of chaos and misery.

An inside factor that affects one's behavior is the thought,
Our attitude communicates it, sometimes in wrath,
An outside factor that could affect behavior is religion,
Among believers, it brings about separation and even discrimination.

What we think is happening has a great effect on our attitude,
Our belief and feelings could often be a delude,
Overwhelmed day to day demands, could affect our behavior,
Especially when we are burned out and need to be inspired.

Negative attitude against others, depicts how prejudice one could be,
It affects relationships and causes many to disagree,
A good attitude is to be flexible about expectations,
It avoids disappointments and controls our emotions.

In moments of anger, ask yourself why,
And what can be done to control your behavior in reply
When another person is angry, consider the reason for such display,
Observe what pushes his buttons and how to help in such disarray.

Positive cue is demonstrated by looking at the person, with whom you are talking,
Negative cue is having a blank expression, with no means of tracing,
Encouraging others shows support and encouragement,
Moral support is often needed during their bewilderment.
