Empowered By The Holy Spirit

We are bond slaves of Jehovah God but we tend to forget it. We are servants of Jesus but we think that we should be served. We are Christ's disciples but we don't act like it. We are children of the Most High God but we don't respond like it. We are sons and daughters of God the Father but don't walk in it.

The Bible is our example of how to live for Christ, what to do and what not to do. The four gospels tell of the life of Christ and His disciples. It also gives us a clear picture of what life was like being a disciple of Christ. We are Disciples of Christ but lack the intimacy that they experienced with Him. They didn't visit Jesus just on Sundays, in church or on religious holidays but lived with him daily. Their relationship was one of habitation that brings the closest intimacy possible. Their daily lifestyle with Jesus Christ was a daily life choice. A real friend is someone who you have spent time with to get to know them. A real friend requires an investment of your time to learn more about. The only way to really know someone is to live with them. Ask anyone who has had a roommate or a married couple. They know things about their roommates or spouses that most people don't have clue about.

Being a Christian is to be a disciple of Christ a student of Jesus. Habitation brings close personal intimacy that brings maturity in Christ. It all has to do with knowing who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you. It takes commitment and dedication on your part to spend time with Jesus daily in prayer and in His Word. The disciples performed some miracles while they lived with Jesus. Their ministries didn't take off until after the upper room experience when they were baptized with fire of the Holy Spirit. Too often in the world today people try to build a relationship on what they can get out of it or how it benefits them. Those relationships lack respect, honesty and trust and therefore they don't last. God wants a REAL deep forever relationship with you. One that is built totally on obedience, honesty, trust, faith, hope, respect and love. God being God, what can you hide from Him? God knows you better than you know yourself!

First you ask Jesus into your heart and life to forgive you your sins. You acknowledge Jesus died on the cross for your sins and was raised from the dead. A born-again believer who is now a new creation in Christ. Now your new life starts as you start a new walk and relationship with Jesus. There are three basic steps for Christians to take in your walk with God. The first step is to step out in courage. To declare who you are and who and what you believe in. Courage not to be ashamed to call yourself a child of God. Courage to speak the name of Jesus out loud in public. Courage to commit and dedicate your life to Jesus and the cause of Christ. Courage to commit time every morning in your prayer closet to spend with God in prayer and in His Word. Courage to live in habitation with your Maker.

The Bible says that you must be baptized in water to reflect the death of the old sinful you and the birth of the new creation in Christ that is you. Next to be an equipped Christian you need to be baptized by fire of the Holy Spirit. This is where the indwelling of the Holy Spirit comes in ALL power and authority of Father God and Jesus Christ in you. Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" After Jesus received the Holy Spirit is when His ministry started and so did the miracles. When the disciples received the Holy Spirit in the upper room is also when their ministries started so did the miracles that the Holy Spirit performed through them. They were never the same after the Holy Spirit infused them. That is what the next step is all about. To step up in faith in God as He and the Holy Spirit takes you to a higher level in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:7 We live by faith, not by sight. Faith in your God and His promises. Faith that Jesus in you is greater than he that is in the world. Faith in a God who is above all gods and the creator of all things. Faith that is exercised daily in your declarations out loud in prayer and in scripture. Faith that you serve a faithful God who has faith in you and what you will do as His ambassador of His kingdom on earth. Faith that you will influence your surroundings just by being there because of Christ who is in you. John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. There is lots of growing in the Spirit in this step as the Holy Spirit leads you into all truth. Forgiveness, love and mercy are banners of your life with Christ.

The third step is to step in. Trust that leads to maturity in Christ. To trust in God that He will lead you by the Holy Spirit through that next level of the unknown as you step in to the supernatural. Because Jesus strengthens you He can do ALL things through you. ALL nine spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit are made available to you. Ephesians 1:3-5 3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will Trust that allows the Holy Spirit to work and move through you daily. Habitation that brings intimacy that brings maturity. The third step is a mature walk that you now have with the Lord every day. It is at this level that you are now much more than you could ever be on your own. You now are witnesses of God's mighty and miraculous power as He performs all signs and wonders through you. Being refilled with the Holy Spirit as you spill onto others everywhere you go when you ask to be.

For you have stepped out, stepped up and stepped in to a closer relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. You are more than a conquer. You are more than an over-comer. You are more than a bond slave. You are more than a servant of the Lord. You are more than a disciple of Christ. You are a child of the Most High God. You are sons or daughters of God the Father adopted into His royal family. For you have been baptized with the fire of the Holy Spirit and over flow with His power and presence. You have been downloaded with ALL spiritual blessings, gifts/tools of the Holy Spirit with wisdom and revelation which brings understanding and knowledge. You are a committed and dedicated Christian. You will not compromise, dilute your beliefs or accept the lies of tolerance and diversity. You will not quit, give up, give in or walk away. For you will stand and stand firm on the Word and the promises of God. You walk in the Holy Spirit, led by the Holy Spirit with the power and authority given you by Jesus Christ which flows through you by the Holy Spirit! Jesus Christ now shines brighter through you than ever before which people notice everywhere you go and causes demons to run away screaming in fear. All victory is yours through Jesus Christ the Lord! It is time to stand!
