"Look at me; I'm king of the mountain!" Boys find a sense of power in looking down on playmates; they use wit, timing and determination in efforts to outmaneuver their opposition. Lads may perch atop a chair, bed, monkey bars or hill and feel they are on top of the world. They may not raise a flag to claim the territory but are sure to raise their arms and voice proclaiming victory. "Look at me; I'm king of the mountain!"
Jesus will one day return to earth; a mountain will be His platform and pulpit. "Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south (Zechariah 14:3-4 NAS)." Jesus is not merely King of the mountain, look unto Him; He is King of Kings and will reign forever!
