Arriving in the starlight of a
great beacon, directed from afar
to Bethlehem's door
these Kings in oriental attire
bring gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh
and a father, mother in pride gaze
upon their son, his countenance of love,
eyes sparkling, cherubic face
discernment in his soul--
surrounding this wondrous moment
nostrils accept wafts of
energy emanating throughout
the stable, covering humans and fowl alike
and a father knowing something
special is his son, mother
with a heart filled with love
sorrowful knowing he will change
the world, but at such a price?
The child looks up at whom
he loves, raises his hands, eager to
fulfill his tasks.
