When you don't know what to do,
and His answers haven't come to you.
When you're feeling down and out,
and you're anxious and full of doubt.

That's the time you need to look,
for all of His promises in the Good Book.
You'll find the remedy for your needs,
when to His Word your spirit heeds.

When your troubles take over you,
and hang around no matter what you do.
When your worries make you feel so sad,
and all your fears just mount and add.

That's the time you need to pray,
and ask the Lord to lead you His way.
He will show you what you should do,
and His Spirit will help get you through.

So, when there's no answer to your prayer
remember that God really does still care
and everything that feels today like gloom
will help your faith to grow and bloom.
