Thank You, Lord

Lord, I don't understand why things are the way they are but I thank you anyway. I thank you that the circumstances of my life draw me closer to you, leading me to depend on you alone. I thank you that everything that happens to me is good and part of your plan for my life, a plan for good and not evil according to your promise in Jeremiah 29:11. I thank you that all things work for the good of those who love you and that includes me. I may not understand why I am going through this but I believe that all of this is for my eternal good as you promised in Romans 8:28.
I thank you that my name is written on the palm of your hand and that you know me intimately, that you know everything about me, all my sins and weaknesses and you love me anyway. I thank you that you know my every need and promise that I shall not want. I thank you that you are my shepherd and guide me on right paths. I thank you that not only did you die for my salvation but by your stripes I am healed. I thank you that you are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, that you healed all those who came to you in faith and that you still heal those who come to you in faith.
I thank you that even though I might be going through times of sorrow that your joy comes in the morning and you will turn my tears into dancing. I thank you that you are a merciful God whose mercies are renewed each day. I thank you that you are faithful to your promises and you will lift me up on the wings of eagles. I thank you that you have mercy on all who call upon you and are present whenever 2 or more are gathered in your name.
I thank you that you love me more than I can ever imagine and that nothing I do will ever separate me from your love. I thank you that I can abide in you and that you call me friend. I thank you that I am your child, your beloved child who you want to draw closer to you. I thank you that you desire a relationship with me and want me in heaven with you forever. I thank you that you care about every aspect of my life. I thank you that you love me as I am but also love me so much as to offer me freedom from all the muck of my life, that you constantly offer me your forgiveness and the grace to change. Thank you, Lord, for everything.
