I lay my burdens,
at the door
open wide
and step inside
all around
I begin to sense . . .

Peace,
tranquility
an unrelenting
serenity . . .
Ah, yes
there is also
joy.

I move about,
in every room
as I wander in
and roam around
there within
the walls I find . . .

Faith,
trust
an everlasting
hope . . .
Ah, yes
there is also
joy.

I climb the stairs,
step by step
to the landings end
and there atop
my heart leapt
as I came upon . . .

Comfort,
rest
a reassuring
calm . . .
Ah, yes
there too
is my Lord!
