Today is a slide of lazy wind,
cascading stream in surges
hidden, evening clouds
as shaded duck movements
rain sprinkling, a continuous pounce.
Aged rocks trim the shoreline
loons and eerie calling
between trees, a weave of moonbeams
ripples of lake, canoes ashore
and everywhere a union of memory.
