Set the merry tree to shine
Bright upon this Christmas time
Then let the children run upstairs
To happy stockings by their beds
But do not in this time forget
The reason that we say our prayers
We pray to thee our loving Christ
With hearts aflame and hands clasped tight
Son of God, please stay with us
This blest and joyous night, this Christmas!
