Tired wings seek rest
from long journey's flight
silhouettes in idle formation,
a landscape upon horizon's calm.
Feathery leaders
aiming at a vacant field
now waves descending
in orderly swoops, unfolding
as a feathery waterfall.
Canada's distant from
Hudson Bay shore, vagabonds
looking for a home
an army of wings
honking noisily on the fly.
