Held hostage by prescription bottles.
Bondage demons call my name.
My brain chained.
My mind shackled.
My heart constrained.
My hands reach and twist the cap.
My mouth swallows the pills
Both pleasurable and painful.
The addiction wages war on my soul.
Fight or surrender. Live or die.
Freedom is found where lies are vomited.
A captive by choice, I unknot the rope.
Melissa writes about the God and human connection and condition.
