Turning Ten

For ten years of my life, I have shared an awesome relationship with my God, Jesus Christ, in a life package of ups' and downs'. Growing up as a staunch idol worshipper and entering various temples of worship has hardened my heart as stone against the one true God. Yet, in the hands of The Potter, I am transform. I have metamorphosis from a larva to a beautiful butterfly with out-stretch wings. Yes, with reference to my heart, of which God has touched on a fine Easter Day '97.

As similar with the rest, I have citizenship in heaven and registered in the Book of Life. As compared to the rest, I am not registered to any church. With less than half of my Christian life, have I able to attend, praise, worship and hear a sermon in church, yet not one day has God loved me lesser than the rest. God has given me gifting, callings and blessings altogether. My knowing of God is akin to the minority of youngsters, who are home-schooled instead of attending school to be taught. I am home-schooled and my personal tutor is Mr. Jesus. Yes, Sir!

The celebration of this milestone of knowing God for a decade is just merely a start of a journey greater than the former and a small bite of a bigger cake. There are still the undiscovered abilities of God operating in our lives. Will I become a future minister of God or a teacher upholding God's word or a miracle worker? The mysteries and ways of God will be revealed in due season with fruitfulness followed by great harvesting.

Easter Day is signified by the resurrection of Jesus from death, as HE overcame it. Though, we are weak and unlike Jesus when HE was born until HIS crucifixion, yet we are deemed as over comers as well. Over comers are those whom seek answers, resolve problems, love others and Word-doers as God fearing, wise and obedient servants of God. The very day I present myself as such, is the day Easter Day is truly remembered as.

With each passing day, I am continually grateful for the abundance I have received from God, through simple thoughts, simple gestures and simple love, providing me the greatest, simplest pleasures in life. Indeed, I enjoy a simple, and yet meaningful blessed birthday with my God. Amen!
