Mommy's princess, don't play rough,
Mommy, am I pretty enough?

Silver spoon, dress my part,
Diamonds cut into my heart.

Flawless clothes, make-up, and hair,
It certainly matters what you wear.

Teeth are meant for bleaching and braces,
A perfect smile will take you places.

Daddy's girl, I'll make you tough,
Daddy, am I smart enough?

Make us happy, make us proud,
Daughter, stand above the crowd.

Bury my identity-dig the hole,
Being perfect numbs my soul.

Body image-don't eat that,
Perfect girls are not fat.

Fallacy of perfection,
Adolescent years of rejection.

Marry a man like our kind,
Gold, silver, and fancy wine.

Religious rituals-don't rebuff,
God, am I worthy enough?

Perfect woman in a mirror of confusion,
Being perfect is just an illusion.
