THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT!

by SIXTUS ONYEANUSI
12/06/2011 / Christian Living

When I look at Jesus Christ
With my inner eyes of faith
I see my future so bright
B'cos I know He never fails
I have in me His sure word
I'll cleave to His promises
I know in whom I've believed
I'll wait; I'll not compromise
What He promised, I'll receive

The future looks very bright
Because I have Jesus Christ
Because I'm loved by the Lord
Because I do love the Lord
B'cos I delight in His word
B'cos I delight in His work
The future looks bright
The future looks bright
My future is in the Lord
The picture is in His word
It's spelt out...written boldly
Tagged "Kingdom greatness only''

The future looks bright
I may not have it all now
But they'll come, I know His Pow'r
Each moment He so much cares
So why should I ever fear?
In all things, He still proves true
Thanks Lord! I've come to trust You
I'm grateful God is Faithful
I'll be faithful, for He's is Faithful
He'll not leave me forsaken
He'll not let me down broken
He has my life in His palms
The thoughts of peace in His plans
Nothing I see should move me
My future is safe in Him
If I trust Him, would I fear?
When I call Him, He does hear
Even in the midst of storms
Even while walking on thorns
Even in the darkest night
I choose to see His bright light
I choose hope and not despair
I choose faith, faith and not fear
I choose joy, not depression
Direction, not confusion
Gratefulness, not to murmur
Faithfulness, not compromise
Devoted to God the more
Believing His promises
Confessing His promises
Declaring His promises
Standing firmly on His word
Putting my dear faith to work

The future is very bright
I see it in Jesus Christ
Like in me a burning light
I see beyond just today
It will come and not delay
I see above the dim sky
Behold Jesus on His throne
Pouring me pow'r from on high
Assuring me glorious hope
My future is great in Him
My great future is secured
It's a blessed assurance
I'll serve Him with all my heart
Humbly with joy, hope in love
I'll always do good each day
I'll be great no denial
"YOUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT" GOD SAYS
What He says is the final!
* * * * * * *
As a youth that has come to embrace the Lord Jesus by the grace and mercies of God, I used to be afraid of the future;

I used to feel inferior or intimidated by the seemingly "glory" (beautiful passing and sweet-bitter dainties, fading fancies and vanities) of this present world.

I had not come to understand the great magnitude of the plan of greatness My Heavenly Father has for me in Christ Jesus.
I thought by following the narrow way of Jesus, I would be useless.

I used to have my brows clouded by the anxieties and uncertainties of my tomorrow.

A day came that God dealt with me in regards to the life of Abraham. How he obeyed and followed Him without knowing or seeing where he was going or what God has promised.
"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for inheritance, OBEYED; and he went out, not knowing whither he went."
- Hebrews 11:8.

God assured my heart of His great plans for me, readily and steadily at work in, with and for me...He opened my understanding and made me see beyond today and peep into the future faith through His Spirit.

He's the One to make me great as He planned, my lot is to simply beleive, trust and obey...stick to His way and never go astray...make His word the standard of my life.

I suddenly realized that I've been born again into unending riches and blessings. I became convinced that as a child of the Most High God, I can't be beneath but above.....I'M BORN AGAIN AND EMPOWERED WITH ALL IT TAKES TO SUCCEED, ENJOY SUCCESS AND STILL REMAIN GODLY IN THIS PRESENT PERVERSED GENERATION OF ABOMINATION (IIPeter1:2-4).

God opened my understanding, settled the doubt of destiny and cast the fear of tomorrow.
Because I belong to Jesus and abiding in Him, I'm never going to step into my tomorrow in sorrow.

I can't be useless.
I won't!

My future in Christ Jesus is far greater than whatever "great" future I may have thought to have in the world.

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
Which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead..."

- Ephesians 1:9-end
