God on the cross
How could it be!

The great Creator
Hung on a tree!

God in the person of Jesus the Christ
God of the universe was my sacrifice.

Why did God do it? What did He gain?
The Alpha and Omega swallowed my pain.

Red blood of deity spilled from death's cup
Vile blackened sin covered God up.

But on the third day God rose again
He defeated my death and conquered my sin.

Mercy and salvation draped on a cross
Forgiveness, grace, and hope for the lost.

Melissa writes about the God and human connection and condition.
