God holds me by my right hand,
and in His righteousness I stand
even when my feet started to stray
His love for me never went away.

I have been foolish and ignorant,
and my pride has made me arrogant
but God has yet to cast me out
for His mercy covers my inner doubt.

There were times when I was down,
and sure that I would sink or drown
but God understood my every fear
and His grace kept my Redeemer near.

There are places where I have been,
where to temptation I committed sin
but God showed me His compassion
and now I give Him all of my passion.

God has taken me by my right hand,
that is why I am able to still stand
He kept my feet from falling away
and to Him, I promise not to stray!
