This Christmas, after all the presents are opened,
I am going to sneak away and give one more
I am going to go into my prayer closet
and behind me, I am going to shut the door.

I am going to pull away all the wrappings,
the frills and the gingerbread I hide behind
I am going to unwrap my true self
not the one that is embellished in my mind.

I am going to take off all the ribbons,
rip off the tape and the pretty bows
I am going to unmask my heart and soul
to a God ~ who already sees and knows.

I am going to get down on my knees,
and give Jesus the gift of my eternal trust
I am going to bundle myself in His love
and to His will ~ I am going to adjust.

I am going to wrap myself up in Jesus,
I am going to bind myself up in His Word
I am going to tie myself to His grace
so to His Spirit ~ I'll be bound and stirred!
