Homosexuality Is it biblical?

by Mark E Crossley
4/11/2007 / Christian Living

Homosexuality in 2000 became such a complex issue within the United Kingdom so have you ever thought of the following question and considered what the bible has to say?

What makes homosexuals choose the same sex relationship and not the opposite sex unlike the majority of people? Is it right that the age of consent should be reduced to 16 if passed through parliament?

Do you agree that AIDS derives from homosexual intercourse? Will Section 28 be enforced nationally and is so what could the likely effects be if passed through Parliament?. Do you really understand what Section 28 means to you and your children and should the church welcome this kind of person in it's doors?.

In Genesis God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created both male and female. In Matthew, Mark, Romans and indeed throughout the Old and New Testament Gods work clearly indicates that homosexual (Male or Female) passions and acts are unnatural and contrary to sound doctrine and denies entrances to the Kingdom of God. Should homosexuals be allowed to be fully ordained ministers then such as Gene Robinson who is the first Gay Bishop in the Anglican Church?

God's word teaches that if someone has truly accepted Christ into their life nothing can keep them from the Kingdom of Heaven, but on the condition that God knows our hearts and if you truly accept Christ, He will deal with the sin of homosexuality and put you on the right track to an ongoing relationship with Him for HE has a plan for you.

If you have a problem with homosexuality, violence or murder the sin is the same just a different value to what humans put on it but whatever our sins are this is keeping us away from God's destiny for us.

I pray that you will seek him earnestly and find some genuine helpful Christians who will spend time with you to help you overcome your weaknesses, they are out there.

If you choose to keep your life as it is that is your choice. However, you also have to accept the consequences and respect the feelings and beliefs of others. If the consequences of your actions take you out of God's favour yet you want to be right with God then seek help and guidance.

Above all seek him. Christ died on the cross, let's not keen on crucifying him for our own selfishness and let God change us no matter what our back ground is Jesus is the answer to all life's issues and our future destiny. God Bless you today.
