My soul longs for Your peace,
for the comfort Your Word brings
for the reassurance and the calm
under the shadow of Your wings.

My soul longs for Your deliverance,
for the trust of everlasting relief
for the liberation and the release
from the heaviness of my grief.

My soul longs for Your mercy,
for the grace You have for me
for the compassion and the pity
where in You Lord ~ I can be free.

My soul longs for Your eternal love,
for the deliverance of my every sin
for the plan of hope and salvation
so Your Word can dwell deep within.
