Have mercy on me ~ O Lord,
show me your amazing grace
let Your kindness and compassion
shine across my shameful face.

Show me your lovingkindess,
as my discredit to You departs
show me Your faithfulness
let not my sins keep us apart.

Have mercy on me ~ O Lord,
remove the dishonor before me
take the shame of my disgrace
and cast it deep into the sea.

Cover me with Your covenant,
and bring me Your sweet peace
let Your mercy wrap around me
for I know it will never cease!
