Feeling tempted,
can't keep the devil at bay
caught up in his lure
as you go about your day?

Can't fight against,
all the lusts in the world
can't put off the suggestions
the devil loves to hurl?

Is pride tripping you up,
are his lies chasing after you
does the devil entice you
to do the things that you do?

Getting overly anxious,
filling up with dread and fear
feeling the burden
of not having Jesus near?

Well, don' you give up,
don't let that old devil win
lest you go about
in the stench of your sin.

Submit your life to God,
and follow His ways
resist the devil and he'll flee
from the rest of your days!
