Once, I knew darkness, sickness and pain
then came Jesus, into my life to reign
oh what a joy, oh what a delight
now I am bathed, in His glorious light.

Once, I was broken, falling apart
then came Jesus, into my stony heart
oh what a miracle, or what a feat
now to sin, in Him I can confidently beat.

Once, I was lost, befuddled and confused
then came Jesus, and my soul He rescued
oh what a song, oh what a melody
now that my life, has a heavenly destiny.

Once, I was worldly, hell ward bound
then came Jesus, and turned me around
oh what an honor, oh what a favor
now that I've found, the only true Savior!
