Jesus In Me

by Steve Countryman
2/22/2012 / Christian Living

The I Am is in me and His name is Jesus. Every born again believer has Jesus Christ in them through the Holy Spirit but it is the most overlooked and under utilized part of being a Christian. There are those who don't believe that they are the temple of the Lord. There are those who think that Christ in them is to be utilized in the future. First you must understand who Jesus Christ is in you before you can begin to understand who Jesus Christ is to you, with you and through you. Finally you can understand who you are in Christ. Colossians 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Jesus Christ in you is your greatest potential in you. Jesus is the perfect potential in you. He is alive and active in you everyday.

It is important that you see through your faith in God the Father who Jesus is in you. Read out loud the following declarations about who Jesus is in you

"Jesus in me is the Perfect One, the flawless One in me. Jesus in me is everything in me that I am not. Jesus is made strong in my weaknesses and He can do all things in and through me. Jesus is my everything. From being Jehovah Jireh, God who provides all my needs, to Jehovah Rapha, God the Great Physician who heals my body. Jesus is my greatest potential in me. Jesus in me enables me to do all that God requires of me. Everything that I am not able to do on my own He can do through me. It doesn't matter that I haven't done it before, God can! What I lack in knowledge and wisdom God enables me to have for His kingdom. Jesus in me eliminates all of my excuses why I can't. Jesus in me eliminates all of the restrictions, limitations, preconceived notions and religious spirits that hinders His mighty power through me. Jesus in me replaces all of my failures with His successes. Jesus in me replaces all my defeats with His victories."

"Because Jesus is in me I Am more than an overcomer. Because Jesus is in me I Am more than a conquer. Because Jesus is in me I Am truly blessed and highly favored. Because Jesus is in me I can move mountains. Because Jesus is in me He makes me worthy, deserving, holy and gives my life purpose. Because Jesus is in me I Am the righteousness of Christ. Because Jesus is in me He makes me prosper, successful and prospers the work of my hands. Because Jesus is in me I have a hope and a future. Because Jesus is in me I walk in His ways and on His path. Because Jesus is in me His light shines brightly through me. Because Jesus is in me the sick are healed, the demon possessed are set free and the dead are raised back to life."

Jesus in you brings the I Am who is the totality of God the Father in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity in you! The I Am in you is greater then he who is in the world. Judges 6:12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." Gideon was not a mighty warrior onto himself but was a mighty warrior with God. In 1 Kings 18:18-40 Elijah was used by God when God showed Himself as Israel's true God by proving the prophets of Baal and of Asherah to be false prophets. All of the healings, miracles and the demon-possessed people who were delivered were all the work of God's hand through those obedient disciples and prophets of Jesus Christ.

The I Am in you is a now word. I Am is not I will be or some day I may be but it is I Am. That is meant for today. For today, the now, is where you live, act, breathe, believe, make your decisions, have influence on your surroundings and those around you. As a believer it is not your past that determines your future but it is your Great Potential in you, Jesus Christ, who determines your future. Your past always carries your faults, failures, flaws and regrets but your future carries God's hope for you. If you are not a born again believer you too can experience God like never before as your Lord, Master and Savior. All you have to do is believe that Jesus is the one and only Son of God who died on the cross for your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. To live the I Am life you must believe, be obedient to God and His Word and be willing to allow the Holy Spirit to guide and lead you into the Great Potential that lives in you. That through you the Holy Spirit will perform miracles, signs and wonders greater than Jesus did when He was here on earth. John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Are you ready?!?
