ALL things God works for the good of those who love him-Romans 8:28 NIV
Tetris was one of my favorite past times. I played it a work during breaks, when I came home from work and usually before I'd pray and head off to dreamland. Again I say this was one of my favorite past times!
I think that we're all familiar with Tetris in some form or another. If by chance you aren't, I'll give you a small break down of what Tetris is. Tetris is a game in which blocks of varying shapes fall from the top of the screen. As the blocks are falling, you have the ability to rotate or make them drop faster. The whole idea is to arrange the blocks so that they form a horizontal line across the width of the screen. Got it!
Now I know you're probably asking yourself how then is life like Tetris. Well let me fill in the blanks for you-1) blocks of varying shapes falling (this represents different situations that happen in life as seen in Genesis 29:25 NIV, Genesis 37:28 NIV and 1 Samuel 18:10 & 11 NIV); 2) you have the ability to rotate or make them drop faster (this represents decisions made in life as seen in Exodus 2:12 NIV, 2 Samuel 11:15 NIV and Acts 5:2&8 NIV) & 3) arrangement of blocks so that they form a horizontal line (this represents God's hand in the midst of things as seen in Exodus 14:21 NIV, Judges 4:15 NIV and Isaiah 38:1-5 NIV). Now do you see how Tetris and life are just alike?
