In dark growing times
The heart brushes
Against splintered places
Of healing grace
As a soul
Is unearthed
From the ground
Where it has fallen
With tremor of heart
Like a grain of wheat
Broken open
In sacrificial surrender
Wounds bleeding
Into the soil
Of unearthly Love
In the dying
There is life
"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat
falls to the ground and dies,it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." John 12:24
