Psalm 55:18 NIV
He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me.
Battle worn are the warriors that stand silent in the growing light of day. The war had raged long and hard through the dark of night. Faint echoes of clashing swords reverberate within the recess of my mind. When it seemed that all was lost, this host of soldiers came charging, silver swords drawn and ready. Fierce was the fight as they pushed back the enemy foe. Now they stand, regal and tall, awaiting the Word of their next assignment. In a blink of an eye they are gone.
I stand and watch as the mist swirls across the plain as the early morning sun rises to greet the dawn of this new day. Softly the breeze begins to blow gently dispelling the gossamer tendrils. Flowers bow and sway releasing their perfume as an offering of praise for the battle that has been won. The morning dove gently coos its song of adoration and butterflies clap their wings in rhythm to their song. I join in the heavenly chorus giving thanks, as peace once again, floods my soul.
