Oh, to abide in the Almighty,
to wait in perfect peace
to endure without yielding
with a faith never to cease.

To accept without rejection,
to stay stable and fixed
to continue at an easy pace
and in His Word be affixed.

To be ~ instead of be doing,
to be ~ willing to remain
to be ~ unwearied and calm
to let His life in yours reign.

To be ~ in His strength,
to be ~ in His mighty hands
to be ~ in His waiting shelter
is to find rest in His plans.

Oh, to abide with the Almighty,
to wait for His perfect timing
to endure without yielding
is to see two hearts aligning.
