afraid of the healing
afraid of the pain

afraid you will say
what will help me to know

afraid that we’ll grow

afraid we’ll draw close
afraid that we’ll break
afraid of the risks
we’ll both have to take

afraid that it’s you
i’m likely to find
when you finally say
what’s on your mind
