God calls us to be single minded

Friends, I've bought quite a few books by Kay Arthur of Precept Ministries and they are filling me with God's Word. I'm reading three at the moment and more are on the way...

You can get them fairly cheap if you live in the US on Ebay and also bought cheap second hand ones from Ebay UK. Alibris.com and Bookdepository.com are other sites to get reasonable prices on books.

I've sent Mum a book called "Lord, teach me to pray in 28 days" and she is wonder struck at the Word of God and said she did not know the Bible had such wealth to offer. I truly believe God is calling us to study His Word and be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Kay Arthur has a marvelous testimony and she writes in a form that is extremely easy to understand and she speaks heart to heart. I'm on her site this morning to hear her Bible Studies on the Book of Jeremiah - here is the link to it:

A couple of months ago when I was ill and despondent, I went to the library and borrowed many books to pick myself and encourage me. They were not by fellow believers and spoke from their experiences and doctrine.

God gave me a very strong warning not to continue them because I would be led astray. It was a tug of war to give them up because there was one book at that time which was on Abandonment that was moving me.

I realized I had to follow His instructions and return them and seek His ways, so returned the entire lot of them. Through the weeks ahead, He started leading me to different Christian Authors and Teachers and it became so easy to be led by Him. I had no clue of Kay Arthur, but He led me to her site and found her books and it is changing me as we speak.

Friends are you thirsty for more of God? Please be open to where He is calling you. I had to make a decision not to keep my feet in two camps and it was the best one. I hope this gives you some tips on what is available and may the Lord lead you and bless you. May He touch your life and transform you. May He shine His Light in you and you shine it onto the world amen.
