The clay itself is worthless
Until the Artist does employ
His standards in reshaping,
A start, a turning point -
A new vessel
The wheel and the clay must be
Balanced and aligned
So as the wheel moves
The clay does stay confined -
Centred and still
The hands of the Potter
Hold the tools that will shape
Drops of water do make pliable
The clay as to create -
Transformation
The clay is slowly reshaped
Spread out in its own form
A base is then established
While the rest is stretched out more -
Formation
There are two types of vessels
One is open, one is closed
Both are useful in the eye
Of the Potter's will composed -
Purpose
An open vessel created
Portrays an open heart
Where the content is exposed
Free to flow and to impart -
Love and joy
A closed vessel created
Portrays a heart that's capped
And when opened is a reservoir
For the many who do lack -
Peace and strength
Each vessel type created
Has value nothing less
Than to serve the Divine Potter
Who fashioned with purpose -
His blessed

Born again since age 7 thanks forever to Billy Graham; my prodigal years were ages 13-21... where I lived and died to self - found life in Jesus. Thankful for His forgiveness, I live life according to John 3:16... and always running the race; growing in Christ; maturing: a life-long process.
