In hindsight I can see
The molding that took place
In my mind, soul, and heart
When I submitted to His grace
My heart, a hardened ball of clay
Made soft from drops of joy
Became pliable to not resist
Sorrow's discipline employed
In the times when I felt empty
I discovered there was good
As I trusted Him to mold my heart -
To surrender to His Word
In the times I felt internal pain
He was building and reshaping
A very hardened, clumpy heart
With purpose and much beauty
As the shaping continued
And the years kept passing by
My faith increased and stabilized
As His purpose came to light
It took years to realize
That the trials I endured
Bred joy, peace, and virtue
In the heart He manicured
Then - an openhearted vessel!
Where transparent love is viewed
For all to see and partake in -
Transformation and its Truth
This is a lifetime process
It has and will hurt much -
And I thank the Lord for giving me
The strength to not give up

Born again since age 7 thanks forever to Billy Graham; my prodigal years were ages 13-21... where I lived and died to self - found life in Jesus. Thankful for His forgiveness, I live life according to John 3:16... and always running the race; growing in Christ; maturing: a life-long process.
