She had much favor with God -
And then heard Gabriel's word:
She, Mary - to bear a child:
The Messiah, Jesus the Lord.

Though so much was against
Both Mary and Joseph
Both stood strong and believed
Standing firm in God's promise.

Christ, babe, child, Son;
God of sinless Deity -
Who set out for forty days
To fast for humanity.

Son of Man was tempted much;
Tried and truly tested
He won against all evil
It was death that He arrested.

Step forward in His Truth
Never look back upon
All the sins that He died for
That horrid day upon the cross.

Step forward in His Love
Never look back upon
The hardships and the struggling
That you attempted all alone.

Step forward in His Joy
No matter how hard it may seem;
For He's with you in all you do -
In all aspects, all extremes.

Step forward in His Hope
Always seeking after Him
For He freely gives salvation
For those who choose to believe.

Do truly contemplate His death
Upon the cross at Calvary;
For Christ Jesus covered all sin
So you and I could be free.
